A perfectly shaped ovoid studio porcelain vase enameled in soft underglaze blue and color on its luminous white body. Here is a soft sea-green celadon vase of globular shape. On its lustrous, watery surface, pastel-hued fish in low relief swim among carved seaweed. The round Suwa Sozan II signature is found on the base. The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. (For an almost identical vase, see "The Nasser D. This charming globular-shaped porcelain vase is worked predominantly in underglaze blue and various pastel-hued enamels with gilt detailing on its white ground. In the Chinese style, figures are depicted as they engage in various pursuits - ikebana arrangement, tea ceremony and incense burning. Here is an unusual vase of modified meiping form. The vase is crafted in a soft color -gradation from dark grey to white. The nocturnal backdrop highlights the whiteness and translucent quality of plum blossoms as they shiver in the air.
