This is a small, round cloisonne jewel box done in very fine wirework with silver mounts. On the lid, a multi-colored flower in graduating hues of blue, white, pink and yellow is executed on a burgundy enamel ground. The interior is lined in red velvet. The cloisonné box is in mint condition with no chips, cracks, dents or restoration. Ando studio mark on base. Diameter: 3.25" Late Meiji/Taisho Period, Japan

This is a rare and ingenious four-footed Hirado porcelain censer formed as an eboshi or priest's cap. The cover is beautifully reticulated in latticework with applied sakura buds in blue and brown glazes. The censer is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. A small shakudo and multi-metal kogo (box) of round form. On the lid, a scene of two of Japan's beloved immortal figures, Kanzan and Jittoku, are reading a scroll. The scene is worked in high relief in copper and silver with extensive chiseled details. The interior of the box is silver. The box is in excellent condition with no restoration. Signed NOBUYUKI on the base. Diameter: 3" Meiji Period, Japan

This is an extraordinary gold maki-e natsume (tea container) inlaid with aogai, or mother-of-pearl. On its body and lid, a continuous scene, intricately executed, shows chrysanthemums blossoming over a checkerboard fence. The interior is done in dense nashiji "pear-skin" technique. This is an ovoid shaped ikebana basket with pedestal base and bands of twined and looped bamboo slats across the body. The tight and open weave on the body creates an interesting contrast. This is a white-glazed porcelain okimono of a seated rabbit with a softly modeled body. The eyes are realistically depicted in pink glaze, as are the interior of the ears. This round Imari plate with scalloped edge has a partially fluted body decorated in typical Imari palette with an underglaze blue, textile-brocaded rim. Foliate-shaped cartouches depict songbirds flying over peony and blossoming sakura trees. Rondels of stylized butterflies against emerald-green ground enhance the surface of the plate. In very good condition with no cracks, chips or restoration. Diameter: 9 ¼” 19th Century, Japan
