This is a charming Imari porcelain plate modeled as a fish, its concave head, fins and tail in saturated layers of underglaze blue. Main image depicts a beloved motif in Japanese art, nature in all its glory. Birds cavort mid a blossoming grove of peony and cherry with
various tones of iron red and gradations of cobalt blue adding to the scene's dynamism.
The porcelain plate is in very good condition,with no problems and no
restoration.

A marvelous studio porcelain vase of ovoid form rendered in pastel-hued enamels and underglaze blue. Its image of white lilies in moriage is executed in a naturalistic manner with overturned petals and centers in soft mauve blush. The delicate flowers are positioned against sinuous leaves in

A superb, three-legged Satsuma censer of globular form decorated with delicate floral vignettes and brocades, the finial on its lid sculpted as three kiku. Main visuals display a lively grove of kiku growing by a meadow and on reverse, an assortment of wild flowers and tall grass-all worked in gosu blue, iron red and green enamels with gilt detailing. A marvelous Satsuma high-shouldered vase of slim form dramatically tapered by the Master. The main panel illustrates the Hina Matsuri - children and participants surrounding an elaborate doll display prepared for the joyous festivities. Iris in delicate hues rise from the foot, while a collar of kiku in gilt and colors embraces the shoulder. Yabu Meizan gilt signature cartouche on base. This exquisite Yabu Meizan vase is in excellent condition with neither damage nor restoration.

This is a Koto Period tanto in full koshirae with soft metal fittings and glossy black-lacquered saya, its handle wrapped in slate- blue silk cords. The small, mokko-shaped shakudo tsuba is overlaid with gilt spays of grass and plum blossoms. In similar fashion, the fuchi kashira are also overlaid with gold to create images of huts by a meandering stream and grove of kiku; iron menuki sculpted as foliage with gilt details.
