| A small, cabinet -sized Imari bottle vase enameled with soft, underglaze blue, overglaze iron red and gilt detailing. The vase is modeled with gilt ring handles and designed with floating cartouches of kiku and peony surrounding a traditional Japanese home. It is full-bodied and a charming example of traditional Imari ware. A tiny rim chip is hardly discernible on the foot, but otherwise the vase is in very good condition. There are no cracks or restoration. Height: 6 ¼” Circa 1850s, Japan | |||||||
