A pair of fabulous cloisonné vases of hexagonal form with gold wires and silver mounts marked "Jungin," (pure silver). In the style of the renowned cloisonné artist, Hayashi Kodenji, the vases depict complementary scenes of chidori - in-flight among bamboo stalks on a blue-black enamel ground. The pair of vases is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. Unsigned. Height: 7.5" Meiji Period, Japan
