| A wood okimono of a standing Daruma, his bare feet parted and body slightly twisted as his robe whips about him. Daruma holds an ivory whisk in his left hand, the carving detailing his earrings, eyelids, and the serene expression capturing some moment during the beginning of his nine-year meditative state. Along his back is the carved signature of Megoro Sokyo. This okimono is in very good condition with no damage or restoration. Height: 4 ¾" Meiji Period. Japan | ||||||||
