| Here is an example of Sozen-style ikebana basketry on a bamboo- wrapped base, its forked handle made of bamboo stalk with looped supports. The rounded basket's pleasing, curving body is worked with alternating mat plaiting and twining, its handle segmented by bands of cicada knots and insect stitches.
