| An extraordinary ikebana basket by Living National Treasure (1995) Chikubosai II with wide, jar-shaped design and pedestal base. Intricate detailing of the seven-jewel design along the base, its embroidered central band and the sophisticated use of fine strips of bamboo arranged in "thousand-line" construction, counter-balance its clean, architectural quality. This masterly work is in excellent condition with no breaks, splits or restoration and includes otoshi. Chikubosai II incised signature can be found on the base.
