| A tripodic bronze and multi-metal incense burner of compressed, globular form, its silver lid detailed with maple and ginkgo leaves, pierced and incised. Along the body, the ginkgo and maple leaf motif continues with wind-blown leaves and pods worked in high relief shakudo, silver and gold.(The incense burner has a long history in Japan as an integral part of Buddhist rituals and tea ceremony.)
