| A tapered, studio porcelain vase with softly rounded shoulders and small flared neck executed on a matte, iron-red ground. Upon its surface, in creamy-white enamel, groves of wild kiku grow, their petals overlapping and leaves overturned to convey an exquisite kind of passionate floral imagery. Makuzu Kozan's signature in underglaze blue characters appears on the base. This studio porcelain vase is in excellent condition. Height: 7 ¾" Meiji Period, Japan | |||||||||
