Extremely Rare B/W Dish With Foliated Dragon
A rare blue & white dish, at interior decorated with foliated dragon within double circle and border with diaper pattern around the rim, the exterior with continuously flower scroll. Foliated-Dragons design on Ming imperial porcelains first appeared in underglazed blue during the Xuande era and commonly appears on porcelains made by private kiln wares during Zhendong-Jingtai-Thienshun the so-called Interregnum period from 1436-1464, this one is the best examples from the end of Interregnum Thienshun period to early Chenghua ware. Condition is very good excepted double chips to the rim, there are one tiny kiln chip and the other is tiny recent chip (visible on enlargement 9 and easy to fix it for free), no any crack found. Diameter: 15.8 cm.
