| Teakwood Silver Chest By Cathay Arts House of Quality & Craftsmanship This is an enchanting Vintage hardwood Teak chest. A creation of a Quality Fine Arts Furniture House back in the early 1950's. The company is still in existence today in Kowloon, Hong Kong . This chest is multifunctional as it is a true chest with the addition of 4 drawers. Fininshed in black lacquer it is adorned with beautiful color stone motifs. The bottom of the unit has 2 small drawers and 2 large drawers. The top of the unit is a chest with lattice rack made and lined with Camphor wood and its aroma is absolutely heavenly. This gorgeous chest comes with the original booklet that details how all the Wood Joinery is accomplished along with a Pledge of High Quality. As the booklet states, “Every detail is hand made by Chinese artisans with traditional skill and wisdom.” There are no two alike. Condition: There are two or three small stones missing from the motif on the left side of the unit also the lattice rack has a small break. One owner since its creation.
