| A beautiful and graceful 19th Century Cherry Wood desk with 7 shelves, 2 drawers, nooks and a couple secrete compartments. The hardware appears to be brass with a nice patina look. There is striking Satin Wood inlay on the body and legs of unit. A crown piece has a 7” x 4” mirror. The master drawer locks. No key present but it would not be difficult to have a period key made. It is 35” high x 20 ½“ deep x 29½ “ wide. It has a maker’s tag that says: Kuriyans’ Timber & Furniture Chungum. Kottayam (Kerla State) This wonderful desk is part of a private collection and has only had one previous owner. Excellent condition however owner modified desk top writing surface. The top of the desk is loose on right side. It has been very gently used and is still in superb condition. | ||
