A FINE AND RARE VICTORIAN ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER OPENWORK ENGRAVED CLOAK OR CAPE CLASP. (London) 1881. Hallmarked (see enlargements 8 and 9). The unidentified maker's initials are C J. The cloak fastener is made up of two separate pieces of openwork design. A "NEW CAVALIERS" ROYAL DOULTON RACK PLATE DESIGNED BY C.J.NOKE. Design number D3051. The plate has an impressed date mark on the back of (19)09. The plate depicts three Cavaliers within a border that features lions and shields (please see enlargements). The colors are very handsome in greens, blues and browns. Very light overall crazing (which is normal) otherwise in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The plate measures 9 1/2 inches in diameter.

A VICTORIAN BOG OAK AND FRENCH JET MOURNING BROOCH. Circa 1865. The brooch is formed of carved BOG OAK (a fossilised wood found in Ireland) and is accented with FIVE FRENCH JET FACETED BEADS. The slightly curved bog oak base features a design of OAK LEAVES and is topped by beads, possibly representing acorns, which graduate in size from approximately 5mm to 8mm. Hinged straight pin on the back with a C clasp. In very good condition.

A HAND-PAINTED PORCELAIN SCENIC PLATE. Circa 1850. Identified on the back "Vale of Athol" (sic). The manufacturer and artist is unknown however there is a number "2757" painted in red on the back. Also, there is an impressed REGISTRY MARK on the back which is indistinct. The plate features a border with an EGG AND DART rim in heavy gilt.
