A 19th CENTURY TREEN BOX & LID. A circular box with spiral engraved top and base. A well constructed piece with a very tight fitting lid. The box measures 2 3/4 inches in diameter and has a depth of 1 3/8 inches. In excellent condition.
A fine Victorian Mauchline Ware barrel-shaped match holder. Scotland, 19th century. The match holder has a fine transfer print of Lincoln Cathedral. In excellent condition. It measures 2 1/4 inches in height.
Victorian Scottish Mauchline Ware cylindrical case. Probably used for either needles or matches. The case has a pull-off lid. It is decorated with an English Lake District transfer print of "Keswick Boat Station, Derwentwater.". There are tiny surface scratches but, overall, the case is in good condition. It measures 3 1/4 inches in height by 1 1/4 inches in diameter.
A fine Arts and Crafts period wooden cigar box, dated Christmas 1905. Made of soft pine and decorated on the top and sides with an all-over floral pattern in the Arts and Crafts style. Fitted with metal hinges and clasp. The decoration has been worked by means of zylography or wood burning technique. Marked "Cigars" on the lid. There is a very small chip at the top-left of the base (see enlargement 4) and small stress marks at the joints but overall in excellent condition. The base is ...click for details
An ebony desk seal, circa 1910. Smooth tapered handle with attached silver metal rococo cartouche engraved with the initial "B". Circular flat disc base with the letter "B". Part of the silver metal coating has flaked off the base. Measures 2 3/8 inches in length.
