The LARGE center stone is foil backed and measures approximately 3/4 inch in diameter! The smaller stones are close-backed and each measures approximately 1/2 inch in diameter. A 1920's ENAMEL BROOCH featuring Germany's double-headed eagle and COLOGNE'S COAT OF ARMS. The circular pin measures 3/4" in diameter. Hinged straight pin on the back with a C clasp. The brooch has a detailed depiction of Germany's double-headed eagle in black enamel accented in gilt and red. In the center, on a shield, is Cologne's COAT OF ARMS. The three crowns symbolize the MAGI (3 Wise Men) whose bones are said to be kept in a golden sarcophagus in Cologne Cathedral. ...click for details

A CZECHOSLOVAKIA WOOD and GLASS BEAD "FRUIT SALAD" BROOCH. Circa 1920's. The oval brooch is set with an assortment of wooden and glass beads formed as flowers and fruit such as a pear, plum, apple, and berries. Hinged silvertone straight pin on the back with a C clasp and stamped: CZECHOSLOVAKIA. The pin measures 2 3/8 inches by 1 1/2 inches with a depth of approximately 1 inch. There is some loss to the painted finish on the plum otherwise in excellent condition.

The large butterfly is composed of hand-set prong-set stones of various shapes and in assorted green tones. Very high quality. The brooch measures 2 inches in height by 2 3/8 inches in width. In excellent condition.
