ART DECO C.1920s EGYPTIAN REVIVAL SCARAB RING set in a gold mount. Size 6. The ring has a split shank and is stamped on the inside with 3 Egyptian hallmarks (see enlargement 7). The second and third marks are clearly stamped and show the Government mark and date mark. The first mark which indicates karat weight, (and possibly place), is indistinct - however, the lowest Egyptian standard is 625 (which is higher than 14K)- so, this ring is at least 14K and probably higher.
