A STERLING SILVER AND GENUINE GARNET CIRCLE PIN. Stamped 925 and with the maker's mark RNM. Hinged straight pin on the back with a safety clasp. The pin is formed as a circle and is prong set with eight faceted oval garnets each measuring approximately 1/4" in width. The brooch measures 1 1/8 inch in diameter. In excellent condition.

The brooch is oval in shape and features a classic scene used by Wedgwood as early as circa 1800 for a medallion produced for insertion into a box. See enlargement for details.
