A handsome design featuring six cabochon amethyst stones bezel-set within a rope-twist border -each on a buckle-shaped section joined by elongated double loops. Attached safety chain. Hinged straight pin on the back with a safety clasp. The brooch has a very graceful openwork swirl design and is beautifully constructed with a smooth back. Damaso Gallegos (1890-1980) has created a beautiful floral pin with a dramatic curved stem ending with a drooping bloom fashioned of a polished green agate stone. Fully marked on the back.
