ORIGINAL ART. TWO TEDDY BEAR PAPER DOLLS BY EK. Circa 1970. Created by a member of The Maryland Doll Club. Each Teddy Bear is signed on the reverse with the artist's initials "EK" (see enlargement 5). The artist is possibly Emily King - a former President of the Maryland Doll Club. Each bear (boy & girl) has a slightly flocked surface giving them a fuzzy appearance. The costumes are finely painted in watercolor. NOW PLAYING BALLET PAPER DOLLS. Whitman, 1966. #1962. 4to. A CUT SET. Folder type covers with pockets on the inside for storing the dolls and costumes. Contains four dolls:Barbara; Alyce; Emily; and, Betsy. Barbara has a scotch tape repair (yellowed) to her neck (see enlargement 3). It appears that most, if not all, of the clothes and accessories are present and are in very good condition. A good used set. Neva Schultz was the artist who designed this set.
