ARTHUR RACKHAM EX LIBRIS BOOKPLATE FOR P.L. ANDREWES. A black and white original bookplate measuring 3 5/8 inches by 3 3/8 inches. Signed by Rackham in the plate at lower right with Rackham's conjoined initials within a circle. Lettered with the owner's name within a banner. The bookplate's design incorporates music notes, flowers and a bird at the top - as well as a grotesque creature (apparently a dragon) beneath the banner. In MINT condition.

A RARE ARTHUR RACKHAM COLOR EX LIBRIS BOOKPLATE FOR FRANCIS P.GARVAN (1875-1937). TOGETHER WITH A TYPED LETTER SIGNED BY GARVAN AND DATED 1927. The bookplate measures 3 3/8 inches by 3 1/8 inches. It is a full color bookplate signed by Rackham in the plate lower right. The bookplate is lettered: Francis P. Garvan/his book. AN ORIGINAL ARTHUR RACKHAM EX LIBRIS BOOKPLATE FOR ROBERT PARTRIDGE. Measures 5" x 4 2/8". Printed in black and white on ivory stock. For this bookplate Rackham has created an underwater scene of fantastic sea creatures. A quotation from Shakespeare's "The Tempest" is at the bottom. Rackham's printed signature is at lower right. Upper right corner is missing (not affecting the image) otherwise a very fine example. Scarce.
