A WHITNEY CHRISTMAS POSTCARD. Worcester, MASS, circa 1922. A fine postally used postcard featuring a Christmas scene of a small child in bed. He has his Teddy Bear, his Christmas stocking is hung and he is waiting for Santa to come. Captioned: "MERRY CHRISTMAS/ I hope Santa Claus/ Before he goes back/ Will stop at your house/ And empty his pack". In very good used condition.

AN EASTER POSTCARD by WHITNEY. Worcester, MASS, 1922. A postally used postcard featuring a delightful lithographed color scene of a girl wearing an eggshell bonnet and carrying an eggshell parasol with a chick handle. She stands beside a goose. The postcard is captioned: "I would feel/ like a "goose" beside/ YOU in your EASTER/ finery". Small scuff mark on reverse otherwise in very good used condition.

EX LIBRIS BOOKPLATE FOR EDMUND YATES. ENGRAVED ARMORIAL WITH FACSIMILE SIGNATURE. Edmund Yates (1831-1894) was a British novelist and dramatist born in Edinburgh. He was Editor of "THE WORLD" a society journal. The bookplate measures 4 5/8 inches by 3 1/8 inches. Franks 32825. Lower right corner is creased otherwise in very good condition.
