A PAIR OF ART DECO SILVERPLATE DISHES BY REED & BARTON FOR THE STATLER HOTELS. Stamped on the back with Reed & Barton's "Torch" mark indicating a date of manufacture of 1929. Also stamped: REED & BARTON/1300 C2/HOTELS/STATLER. A pair of butter or side dishes each measuring 4 inches in diameter. Each dish features the STATLER logo in the center and a border with alternating Grecian Urns and Swags. Could use some professional cleaning but, overall, in very good condition.

A FANTASTIC ART DECO OCTAGONAL LUCITE AND BRASS DRESSER BOX. Circa 1920s. The box is marked on the base: Lucite (in script) and EMPIRE. The octagonal box sits on four brass paw feet and has a separate lid with a brass finial. The box is green in color with white and darker green accents. It is decorated in gilt on four of the eight sides - the main decoration featuring a woman in flowing robes within a lozenge, or diamond, enclosure. Please see enlargements for details. A LOVELY ART DECO GUILLOCHE ENAMEL POWDER BOX. C.1929. Marked on the base with U.S. Patent numbers:1604093 (1926); 1737294 (1929); 1680317 (1928); and 1687748 (1928). The circular box is made of goldtone and silvertone metal with the base and lid both coated in a pale greenish blue enamel paint. The lid features an oval GUILLOCHE ENAMEL decoration with a hand painted pink rose. Contains its original powder puff. IN NEW UNUSED CONDITION but with very minor surface specks. A GUIDE THROUGH THE WORCESTER ROYAL PORCELAIN WORKS. Worcester: Bayliss & Son, Ltd., (1920s). 48 pages plus covers. Illustrated. Includes a history of the company dating back to 1751, descriptions of all aspects of the manufacturing process, and has four pages showing the company's marks. Measures 7 1/4" x 3 1/4". A few neat ink notations on the marks' pages otherwise in excellent condition (please see enlargements 5 & 6). A scarce booklet.

A small ART DECO COMPACT for "DIVINE" rouge and power. Stamped "Divine" on the side of the lid. The goldtone compact has a hinged lid with enameled top and folding clasp. The top of the lid features a very ART DECO design of a Geisha in black silhouette. She holds a fan and stands beneath a golden full moon. Black and gilt accents. A most endearing VIENNA BRONZE FIGURE of "PUG DOG WITH TOOTHACHE" Circa 1920s. A figure of a small black PUG DOG cold cast in bronze. The sorrowful creature has a red handkerchief tied around his chin and wears a most mournful look. He stands 1 1/4 inches in height. There are only a couple of minor chips to the black paint exposing the very high gold content to the bronze beneath - otherwise, in excellent condition.

A fine STERLING SILVER SAUCE or CREAM LADLE in the WINDSOR PATTERN. Watson Co., circa 1923. The ladle features a gracefully curved handle engraved on the terminal with the initial "H". Stamped on the reverse with the maker's mark and STERLING. The ladle measures 5 inches in length. In excellent condition.
