A lovely bone china footed cake dish or compote by Hammersley & Co., Longton, Staffordshire, England. This piece has a flared and fluted pedestal base topped with a lobed and fluted edged circular dish. The whole is decorated in gilt with a floral design. Heavy gilt trim. A child's three piece nursery ware set consisting of a plate, bowl, and cup. Each piece is signed by the artist on the base with incised initials NHC (conjoined). This is a hand-thrown pottery set decorated with underglaze handpainted designs of little yellow ducks. A charming pair of vases designed as nurseryware. Early 20th century. There is no maker's mark, only an impressed number "3059" at the base of one of the vases. These could be of either American or European manufacture. Fine porcelain rests with hand-painted floral decoration at either end of each rest and on three sides - a total of 12 different floral designs. Gilt trim. In excellent condition with only slight wear overall. Each rest measures approximately 3 3/4 inches in length.
