A CELLULOID BROOCH. SCOTTY DOG and SPOTTED TERRIER. Japan, 1930's. A figural pin featuring two dogs - a small black Scotty Dog wearing a polka dot ribbon and a large black and white terrier wearing a red collar. Silvertone hinged pin on the back with a C clasp. The pin measures 1 1/2 inches in height by 2 1/2 inches in width.

A DOUBLE BELT BUCKLE IN CHERRY RED BAKELITE. Circa 1920's or 1930's. Each half is in a modified triangular design featuring a triple ribbed pointed end. Silvertone metal fittings on the back. The buckle measures 3 3/8 inches by 1 1/2 inches when fully closed. General surface wear consistent with age but, overall, in very good condition.

A pair of carved and hand painted BAKELITE CLIPS (tested). Circa 1920s. Each clip has a hinged silvertone pronged clip on the back. Deep maroon color clips in a modified leaf shape. Each clip features incised floral designs hand painted in various colors such as blue, yellow, white, red, turquoise, lavender, and orange. There is some loss to the paint - in particular to the lavender flowers - but, generally the loss is minimal. A carved bakelite brooch (tested) formed as a pair of chocolate brown Scottie Dogs. Hinged straight pin on the back with a C clasp. The dogs have gilt accents for their eyes and collars. A perky pair that is sure to delight the wearer! The brooch measures 1 7/8 inches in length by 1 1/8 inches in height. In excellent condition with a very secure clasp.

A pair of green BAKELITE screw back earrings. Circa 1930s. Each earring has a triangular or wedge-shaped form. Fitted with goldtone screw backs. The green bakelite has slight variations in color from yellow-green to bright lime green. In excellent condition. Each earring measures approximately 3/4 inches by 1/2 inch with a depth of 1/2 inch.
