A fine TAXCO MEXICO STERLING SILVER NECKLACE. Stamped with an unidentified maker's mark (see enlargement 5) and TAXCO/HECHO EN MEXICO/925. The necklace is composed of 15 conjoined sections. Each section features five scrolls surrounding a half-domed ball. The back has a smooth and solid back. The necklace measures approximately 16 inches in length with a width of 3/4 inches. In excellent condition. Gross weight 34 grams.

An early, 1930s/40s, STERLING SILVER and AMETHYST BRACELET. Stamped: MEXICO SILVER. The flexible bracelet is composed of seven sections joined together by double-link chains. Each section features a polished cabochon amethyst stone in the center surrounded by a quatrefoil design interspersed with half-domed balls. Smooth, solid back (see enlargement 3). The bracelet measures 8 inches in length by 1 inch in width. In excellent condition. Gross weight 40 grams.

An extremely fine VICTORIAN PERIOD STERLING SILVER and ENAMEL LOCKET with 14K GOLD HINGE. Not marked but tests sterling silver and 14K gold. Circa 1870. A sterling silver COCKER SPANIEL PIN by OSCAR CAPLAN. Baltimore, MD. Circa 1940s. A small but highly detailed brooch formed as a Cocker Spaniel. Stamped on the back with the maker's hallmark and OSCAR CAPLAN JEWELER BALTO MD. The pin measures 1 inch by 7/8 inches. In excellent condition. The Oscar Caplan firm (originally Oscar Caplan & Sons) was a silversmith and jewelry company established in Baltimore Maryland as early as 1905 when they specialized in diamond platinum jewelry.
