A fine sterling silver ART NOUVEAU belt buckle, circa 1890. Stamped on the back: E (in script)/STERLING. Classic horizontal open rectangle with an engraved border design depicting four water lilies amidst swirling water. Fitted on the back with a two prong belt attachment. In fine condition. Measures 2 7/8 inches in width by 2 3/8 inches in height. The border measures 9/16ths inches in width. NOTE: See "Silver Jewelry Designs" by Nancy Schiffer, page 14.

A Victorian sterling silver belt buckle; Birmingham, 1896/97. Stamped with the maker's mark L E for L. Emmanuel, lion passant, anchor (for Birmingham), and date letter for 1896/7. Rectangular shape with scrolled open-work border design. Fitted with a three prong swivel belt attachment (also hallmarked). In fine condition. Measures 3 5/8 inches in height by 2 1/8 inches in width. The border design measures 5/8ths inches in width.

A beautiful ART DECO Continental silver and lapis lazuli powder compact, circa 1930s. Stamped 800 inside the lid along with two other unidentified hallmarks. The compact is lozenge shaped with lobed edges. Centered on the lid is a large cabochon natural lapis lazuli gemstone set in an applied engraved open work design of scrolls and leaves. A large sterling silver buckle, Gorham, circa 1900. Stamped on the back with the maker's mark of a G, anchor, lion passant and STERLING. Also stamped with the number 140. Rectangular shaped frame with a lobed edge and raised design. Attached crossbar on the back with three prongs and movable section for a belt. There are two areas on the back where someone has scratched the silver presumably for testing otherwise in very fine condition. Measures 3 inches in height by 2 1/4 inches in width.
