| A lovely tea service set by William Guerin & Co., Limoges, France, circa 1915. The set consists of a large dessert plate, teapot and lid, sugar bowl and lid, and creamer. Each piece is stamped with Guerin's green mark underglaze (used 1900-1932) and with an additional overglaze mark, in gold, indicating the set was made exclusively for the prestigious Washington, D C firm of Dulin & Martin. This set is in remarkable condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines to any of the pieces. The design is done in colors of turquoise and yellow-gold with gilt accents. The gilt-handled plate measures 11 inches from handle to handle by 9 3/4 inches in diameter. The teapot measures 8 inches at its widest point by approximately 4 inches in height. The covered sugar measures 7 inches at its widest point by approximately 3 1/2 inches in height. The creamer measures 5 inches at its widest point by approximately 3 inches in height. A rare opportunity to own a period teaset in such immaculate condition. | |||||||||||
