| A fine Arts and Crafts period wooden cigar box, dated Christmas 1905. Made of soft pine and decorated on the top and sides with an all-over floral pattern in the Arts and Crafts style. Fitted with metal hinges and clasp. The decoration has been worked by means of zylography or wood burning technique. Marked "Cigars" on the lid. There is a very small chip at the top-left of the base (see enlargement 4) and small stress marks at the joints but overall in excellent condition. The base is marked "Christmas 1905". The box measures 6 inches by 6 inches by 3 inches. | |||||||||||
