| AN ORIGINAL KATE GREENAWAY PENCIL SKETCH FOR "Kate Greenaway's Birthday Book" published in 1880. This original drawing by Greenaway (1846-1901) is a preliminary sketch for her illustration of "HODGE" which is pictured on page 107 of the book. The drawing depicts the seated figure of the little boy Hodge who sits holding a bowl and spoon. The drawing is on paper, image size 3 3/16" by 2 9/16". Mounted in a gilt trimmed French mat, of acid-free museum quality and measuring 6 7/8" by 7 1/8". Guaranteed Greenaway original. Please note that the camera's light has caused the photos to look yellow rather than the ivory color it should be. | ||||||
