| A BEAUTIFUL 14K GOLD, PERIDOT & SEED PEARL BROOCH by THOMAS W. ADAMS. Newark, N.J. Circa 1905. SIGNED with the designer's mark and 14K. The brooch measures 2 1/2 inches in length x 4.50mm in width. The hinged straight pin on the back has a Tiffany style clasp. The stunning design features five rectangular faceted 7.00 x 3.60mm PERIDOTS alternating with four clusters of eight seed pearls set in two rows (total of 32 seed pearls). The estimated total carat weight of the peridots is 2.50ct.t.w. Quality fine. Thomas Weir Adams first partnered with R.A. Harriot in 1844 and, after several partner changes, the firm of Thomas W. Adams & Co. was established. Examples of the company's work is featured in The Newark Museum. The firm closed in 1915. Gross weight 4 grams. In excellent condition. | |||||||
