| A fine WEDGWOOD BLUE & WHITE TRANSFER PLATE of GEORGE WASHINGTON'S "MOUNT VERNON". Dated 1900. Fully marked with Wedgwood's marks (stamped and incised) and with the stamp of the "Sole Importer" and 1899 copyright owner - J.W. DUFFIELD & STRATTON of Boston. The plate features a view of Washington's Mt. Vernon, Virginia home. The plate measures 9 3/4 inches in diameter. There is a very small rim chip (please see enlargement 3 where the actual chip is at the lower right of the image but is not visible). In excellent condition otherwise with only very light crazing and no hairlines or cracks. | |||||||||
