Please see enlargement 2 which shows the title page with its small calligraphic drawing at the top of a child's face and the writer's beautiful cursive script and embellishments. The poems include: : The Hope of the Righteous; Hope; War and Love; Life; Lines by MILTON; and, Farewell. The cover is inscribed: Rebecca Bell. Uffington House 5 June 1860. The manuscript has been written on fine laid paper. Some spotting to covers with a small loss to the cover's right fore-edge otherwise in very good condition.
