| A RARE BOXED SET OF SIX "POOH" CHRISTMAS CARDS and MATCHING ENVELOPES. New York: E.P. Dutton & Co., Inc., no date (published 1929). TOGETHER WITH METHUEN'S PRINTED ADVERTISEMENT listing the cards and the publication of "THE VERY YOUNG CALENDAR FOR 1930" plus "THE POOH CALENDAR FOR 1930". The cards are the American "Dutton" issue. Each bi-fold card is printed in color on stiff card stock and measures 5" x 4". Featured are six different "Pooh" characters: 1.) Pooh; 2.)Piglet; 3.)Eeyore; 4.)Owl; 5.) Tigger; 6.) Kanga (with Roo). The inside of each card features a quotation and Christmas message plus a small drawing. Each card has its own special printed envelope. Housed in a cardboard box with printed paper label. The box is in excellent condition and measures 5 4/8" x 4 4/8" x 5/8". The envelopes show darkening where the areas have been folded and glued (you can see this in the enlargements).
