| AN ORIGINAL PEN & INK DRAWING BY MONRO S. ORR FOR A CHILD'S EX LIBRIS BOOKPLATE. Circa 1920s. A fine pen and ink drawing of a HORSE by the prolific BRITISH ILLUSTRATOR OF CHILDREN'S BOOKS, MONRO S. ORR. Signed lower right. The drawing is captioned: THIS IS MY BOOK. The horse drawing and lettering surmounts an outlined banner intended for the name of the child lucky enough to have his own library and needing his own personal bookplate. The drawing has been executed on artist's board with an overall measurement of 7 inches by 5 5/8 inches. The picture image measures 5 7/8 Inches by 4 1/2 inches. Very light foxing otherwise in excellent condition. A great opportunity to have one's own bookplate created by a fine illustrator. | ||||||
