THE STORY OF ROSINA. AND OTHER VERSES by AUSTIN DOBSON. ILLUSTRATED BY HUGH THOMSON. London: Kegan Paul, Trench, Trubner & Co., 1895. 8vo. ORIGINAL RED CLOTH WITH GILT PICTORIAL STAMPING. Top edge gilt. Bevelled edges. The front cover is beautifully stamped in gilt with an all-over design featuring a SHEPHERDESS AND HER LAMBS BEING SERENADED.The spine has gilt lettering and a design of two sheep and a guitar. Profuse black and white illustrations by Thomson. Corners and spine ends are gently rubbed otherwise a very fine copy. FIRST THOMSON EDITION, SPIELMANN & JERROLD 16. DOBSON XXVII. NOTE: this title was issued simultaneously in two different states of the binding. This is DOBSON'S STATE (1).
