| An antique 14K gold (not marked but tested) and onyx ring. The ring is stamped: 1372(4?) and with an indistinct maker's mark. The domed navette shaped top is crafted in openwork engraved gold depicting a bird in a floriate background over an onyx base. The top measures approximately 1 1/8 inches by 5/8 inches with a depth of 1/4 inch. In excellent condition. Gross weight 8 grams. The shape of the ring made it difficult to photograph and capture the fine detail of the engraving - as a result, the pictures really do not do justice to this item. The ring is much more beautiful than the photos show. | |||||||||
