| A VERY RARE DOUBLE-SIDED COLOR BROCHURE ADVERTISING L.T. PIVER's PERFUMES, POWDERS & LOTIONS. Inserted in four slots at the top of one side (see enlargement 2) is a RARE "SNIFF" card advertising VOLT PERFUME PRODUCTS. The card states that it has been perfumed with VOLT - however, the fragrance (if it was originally perfumed) has faded. The SNIFF CARD measures 3 1/2 inches by 2 inches and is DETACHABLE. The card shows four different VOLT products (see enlargements 3 and 5). The reverse side of the card is imprinted with a CALENDAR FOR THE YEAR 1925 (see enlargement 4). The full double-sided sheet measures 6 3/4 inches by 4 1/4 inches. The L.T. PIVER company was established by Michel Adam in 1774 and was later taken over by LOUIS TOUSSAINT PIVER who brought the company to great prominence by being favored not only by Louis XVI of France but also by other royal families of Europe.
