| AN EARLY CHROMOLITHOGRAPHED VALENTINE BY MARCUS WARD & Co. Circa 1870s. The card is printed in gilt and colors and depicts a young lad in period costume and holding a bouquet of flowers. An unsigned picture done in the style of Kate Greenaway and Walter Crane both of whom designed cards for Marcus Ward. Captioned " WITH MY BEST LOVE". The reverse features a poem "AT LOVE'S SHRINE". The front is in mint condition - the back has light toning. The card measures approximately 5 1/4" by 4". | ||||||
