CURRIER & ROBY STERLING SILVER SALT SPOON. C. 1905
A STERLING SILVER SALT SPOON by CURRIER & ROBY. New York, circa 1905. Stamped with the maker's mark, STERLING, and 26S. The spoon measures 2 3/4 inches in length and features a SHELL BOWL and ONSLOW terminal. Ernest M. Currier, who founded the company in 1900, authored "Marks of Early American Silversmiths" which was published two years after his death in 1936. The firm specialized in reproductions of antique American and English silver. There is a slight "dip" on the handle otherwise in excellent condition. Uncommon.
