| RACING P.4. A FINE 1800 ORIGINAL ENGRAVING BY SAMUEL HOWITT (1756-1822) FOR THE SPORTING MAGAZINE. Published by EDWARD ORME, London, 1812. Plate image size - approximately 8" wide by 6" In height. Sheet size - 13" by 9". Samuel Howitt was largely a self-taught artist who excelled at picturing scenes of hunting, shooting, and horse racing in all its aspects. More than 150 of his designs were published in "The Sporting Magazine". This is No.28. In excellent and clean condition. Please note: enlargement 1 makes the print appear darker than it actually is.
