| A "TROMPE L'OEIL" STERLING SILVER (VERMEIL) AND ENAMEL BROOCH. Stamped with the maker's mark on the back. A MOST UNUSUAL TROMPE L'OEIL (fool-the-eye) BROOCH. The oval openwork pin features a band of ENAMEL PEARLS THAT APPEAR THREE-DIMENSIONAL. The pin has a beaded border with an inner band of guilloche green enamel. An enamel shield is applied in the center and features a floral motif. Hinged straight pin on the back with a C clasp. Vermeil (gold over silver finish) on the back (could use a polish). In excellent condition. The brooch measures 2 1/4 inches by 1 1/4 inches. | ||||||
