| GRIMWADES "PETER RABBIT TEASET" CUP & SAUCER. Grimwades Ltd., 1920s. Copyright F. Warne & Co. Ltd. A toy cup and saucer from the "PETER RABBIT" series of nurseryware by GRIMWADES. Their teaset, which was approved by Beatrix Potter, turned out to be a popular success. It was made up of 17 pieces including a teapot, creamer, sugar, two teaplates, four small plates and four cups with four saucers. This cup and saucer features PETER in his blue jacket running away from an angry MR. McGREGOR. Gilt trim. The saucer measures 4 1/2 inches in diameter. The cup measures 2 inches in height. The cup has a very small (3/8") hairline crack which is almost imperceptible otherwise in excellent condition. The saucer is in excellent condition. Please see enlargements for details. | ||||||||
