A pair of southern coin silver teaspoons with the stamp of Campbell & Wyman. According to the Georgia Museum of Art, Campbell & Wyman were retailers in Montgomery, Alabama, ca 1855-1859. These spoons may have been made by that firm, or they may have been made by a northern silversmith and retailed by Campbell & Wyman. Engraved monogram (see picture). This charming cast sterling silver bon bon or almond scoop, with cupid and swan motif and traces of gilding on the bowl of the spoon, is marked with English hallmarks with date letter for 1892-3, length approximately 5 1/2 inches, weight approximately 48.3 grams. Wear to gilding, otherwise excellent estate condition.
