This American 19th century coin silver calling card case is decorated with hand engraving depicting a water scene with mountains, paddle wheel boat, and buildings, with allover hand engraving with geometrics and flowers; the reverse is engraved with “M. J. G.” or “M. I. G.” in period script. Unmarked. Approximately 3 ½ inches x 2 ½ inches x 5/16 inch. Weight approximately 45 grams. Excellent estate condition.

Philadelphia Coin silver wine cup, footed and with handle, repoussé design of grapes, leaves, and vines, engraved on front “ANNA COATES BENNETT FROM ALC” in period script, stamped on base of bowl “C. BARD & SON” (Conrad Bard & Son was active in Philadelphia ca 1850), measures approximately 4 ½ inches in height x 3 ¼ inches diameter, weighs approximately 119 grams, lip is out of round, base is out of round, excellent estate condition.

Antique coin silver salt spoon, fiddle handle, engraved on reverse “CW” in period script, stamped on reverse with the mark for Cleveland and Post (Norwich, CT ca 1820), also stamped with pseudo hallmarks in the form of a lion passant, a kings head, and the letter “C”, measures approximately 3 5/8 inches in length, weighs approximately 8.5 grams, excellent estate condition.

Antique silver toddy ladle, probably 18th century, most likely formed in America from a Charles II crown, the milled rim of the coin was raised to the edge of the ladle and reads “DECUS ET TUTAMEN ANNO REGNI VICESIMO “, twisted baleen (whale bone) handle with silver tip. Measures approximately 15 ¼ inches in length. Excellent estate condition.

Coin silver tablespoon, approximate date 1811, with the stamp for John O. and Walter Pitkin who worked together in Philadelphia from 1811-1831, also stamped with mark for I. R. Miller (Philadelphia circa 1810), engraved "A E Hynds." Length approximately 8 3/4 inches, weight approximately 37.8 grams. Some dents to bowl and wear to engraving.

TWO EARLY SOUTHERN COIN SILVER TABLESPOONS Each tablespoon Is clearly marked for Johnson & Reat, Richmond, Virginia (1805-1815), monogrammed with the initial W. Length of each approximately 9 inches, bowl width approximately 1 3/4 inches, weight approximately 101.5 grams, all in. The spoons are in very good condition with some dents to the bowls and a little wear to the ends of the bowls.

A pair of southern coin silver teaspoons with the stamp of Campbell & Wyman. According to the Georgia Museum of Art, Campbell & Wyman were retailers in Montgomery, Alabama, ca 1855-1859. These spoons may have been made by that firm, or they may have been made by a northern silversmith and retailed by Campbell & Wyman. Engraved monogram (see picture).
