Lovely vintage lipstick case, probably Italian, c.1920. Enamel decoration on silver gilt depicting 18th century style lovers, glass thumb piece, hand engraved. Marked 800. Length approximately 2 inches, depth approximately 3/4 inches, height approximately 3/4 inch. Good estate condition, wear to gold wash, with fractures to 'malachite' enamel near thumb piece, internal cracks in enamel at man's face.
