Pair of mid century Danish modern sterling silver candleholders, designed by silversmith Hans Hansen and made for the tall skinny candles popular in the middle of the 20th century. Marked on reverse “HANS HANSEN” in script and “DENMARK STERLING.” Each measures approximately 1 7/16 inches x 2 5/8 inches x 2 ¼ inches; weigh approximately 111.3 grams all in. Excellent estate condition.

The hinged top shuts with a friction closure, handle stamped with a rubbed mark that is possibly 900, a second set of rubbed marks appear to be on one side, see photos 3 and 4. Height approximately 1 3/16 inches, length approximately 1 15/16 inches, width approximately 7/16 inches, weight approximately 27.3 grams. Very good estate condition.
