Victorian Coin Silver Forks and Spoons, Philadelphia
Nine pieces of bright cut coin silver flatware: the 6 forks with the horse head and chevron mark for James Watts of Philadelphia (active 1835-1880's) as well as the stamp for Haas & Trau, Importers in Philadelphia, circa 1880. The 3 spoons are marked only for Haas & Trau. All are decorated with the same bright cut engraved pattern, the forks engraved with the letter "S", and the spoons monogrammed, "AEL." Length of forks approximately 8 3/4 inches, length of spoons approximately 6 inches, total weight approximately 359.3 grams. Forks in excellent estate condition. Spoons have some denting to bowls and one spoon has a minor split on reverse near handle
