An extremely fine woven Shasavan Soumakh panel, once a side of a baby cradle. This flatweave dates from the last third of the 19th century and was made in Karadagh, Persia. From an old Swiss collection, please refer to the exhibition catalogue: Meisterwerke aus dem Kaukasus und aus dem Gebiet der Turkmenen: No. 18 with picture. Condition: clean, some professionally made old mends. Dimension: 34 cm x 81 cm.

A pair of Chinese seals made of caramel colored hardstone, the stone is harder than usual soapstone. The front sides are carved in a mirror-image with the immortal Xiwangmu holding a lingzi and and a basket, to her feet a crane. The bases are undone. Condition: nice patina, few traces of usage. Dimension: 9.5 cm high, weight: 384 g.

Collection of c. 200 vintage photographs made by Ernest A. Christen (1914 - 1988). A Swiss painter and draughtsman who took the pictures during his first sojourn 1938/39 in Bali, Indonesia. (Ref. Haks & Maris: Lexicon of Foreign Artists who visualized Indonesia). He met the famous painters Walter Spies and Theo Meier. Dimension: different sizes but mainly 23.7 cm x 17 cm. Enameled open-work silver beads of different sizes in ball, double gourd and drop shape, two set with amethyst stones, plus an oval jade pendant. And from another chaozhu four glass beads imitating rose quartz, and two small beads made of bone in open-work. Condition: silver beads with enamel losses, one bruised. Dimension: jade pendant: 3.3 cm x 4.3 cm, double gourd: 5.8 cm long.

A punch dagger with tapering double edged steel blade, each face decorated with a four-armed deity. Straight handle with double-grip, decorated on the side with flowers. Sheath made of wood with velvet lining. Condition: tip slightly chipped, sheath with losses. Some flash rust. Dimension: 44.6 cm long, 7.4 cm wide.
