A large wooden lidded box of rectangular shape, made in Qajar Persia. The surfaces overlaid with micro-mosaic in colored wood, bone and metal, forming different stellar motifs. All with a lacquer finishing, shining golden. The interior with a folding mirror and roughly painted with flowers. The drawer is partitioned, the metal fittings made of sheet metal. The outside of the stoneware vessel is painted with thick enamels depicting the deities Norasingh and Thepanom between flames on black ground. The rims with metal bands. The base with an iron red stamped Chinese mark. Condition: the cover with a repaired area, missing small piece and the rim with two chips. The bowl in good condition.
